Andrea is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 16 years of experience working in early intervention and with school-aged children. For the last eight years her passion has been to help children with childhood apraxia of speech improve their ability to communicate.
She is recognized by Apraxia Kids for advanced training and expertise in childhood apraxia of speech.
Andrea received advanced training with Dr. Edy Strand in implementing DTTC (Dynamic Temporal & Tactile Cueing). She is also PROMPT Intro & Bridging trained.
She is a certified DTTC research clinician who participated in a childhood apraxia of speech research study funded by the Once Upon a Time Foundation (2022–2025). Through this experience, she received in-depth training from leading SLP researchers in conducting research-reliable motor speech evaluations and implementing DTTC therapy for children with childhood apraxia of speech.
Andrea has experience in conducting Independent Educational Evaluations (I.E.E.) for children with motor speech concerns.
She is also a guest speaker on the topic of differential diagnosis of childhood apraxia of speech for graduate students at California State University, Fullerton.
Andrea primarily offers speech-language services at her private office in Laguna Hills. Teletherapy and in-home sessions are also available for special cases.
